Offerings

  • Advance Care Planning

Advance Care Planning is an in-depth planning session to discuss, prepare, and outline future decisions for end of life and after death care wishes. It can include goals of treatment, appointing a medical power of attorney, final arrangements, organizing digital assets, and vigil planning. Advance Care Planning includes completing an advance medical directive which only goes into effect when a person no longer has the capacity to communicate for themselves. This offering extends to anyone within the lifespan who wish to plan ahead for their care in the event a medical crisis arises.

  • Legacy Projects & Life Review

How do you want to be remembered? What is the legacy that you want to leave? What are the messages you wish to pass down to loved ones and generations to come? A legacy project can capture the essence of a person’s life and can be a physical object or activity that people can engage with beyond the person’s lifetime. Legacy projects can be an additional opportunity for memory making at end of life and after death can assist with the grieving process for their loved ones. Life review can complement a legacy project in which a person explores and reflects on their life experiences from childhood to present day. Benefits of life review can decrease feelings of anxiety and enhance psychosocial wellbeing at end of life.

  • Grief Herbal Guide

Herbs and flowers can be used for energetic and emotional support through grief, death, and dying. Plant medicine in this context is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure. Instead herbs and flowers can be a gentle guide in emotionally supporting the dying person and their circle of support. I have benefited from and studied herbalism specific to grief and end of life care, and returning to ancestral ways of being with nature. As a death doula, I can serve as an herbal guide and will also provide a guidebook for herbal grief support in combination with different grief resources.

Disclaimer: I am not a licensed clinical herbalist, please discuss with your medical provider any herbs that will be taken internally and how they could potentially interact with pharmaceutical medication.
