Doula Noire
End of life support and planning centering Black lives and communities of color
Doula Noire provides end of life support and planning for people with a terminal diagnosis and exists to support everyone to live fully their best quality of life, while centering Black lives and communities of color, through end of life. Inspired by an African and Indigenous worldview in which death is a transition from the physical to ancestral realm. Doula Noire is welcoming to all and inclusive to diverse belief systems and cultures. Values include the right to self-determination, body autonomy, consent, honoring the totality of a person and their lived experiences, and uplifting cultural practices, rituals, and indigenous death traditions.
